The short version
I’m a technology leader with 25 years experience of building platforms, scaling engineering teams, and helping companies navigate the messy intersection of technology and business strategy.
I’ve done this at companies ranging from growth-stage businesses to some of Australia’s largest enterprises. The problems change in scale but boil down to similar questions: How do you build technology that supports the business rather than slowing it down? How do you grow a team without losing the things that made it good? How do you make decisions with incomplete information?
Now I work with companies as a fractional executive and advisor. I bring my experience to bear without the overhead of a full-time hire.
What I’m particularly good at
The situations where I add the most value tend to share a few characteristics:
Platform businesses and marketplaces. I spent five years as CTO of Marketplacer, building and scaling a SaaS platform that powered major brands. Before that, iProperty Group across four Asian markets and REA Group here in Australia. I understand how multi-sided platforms work technically, commercially, and organisationally.
The inflection point from startup to scale-up. Most of my career has been spent at the time when the company is moving to the next stage and they need to rethink how they work: the team structure, the architecture, the delivery process. I’ve navigated the evolution and transition enough times to know where the bodies are buried.
When the problem is as much organisational as technical. Technology decisions don’t happen in a vacuum. Team structure, hiring strategy, technical debt prioritisation, delivery process. They’re all connected and solving the technical problems without addressing the organisational ones rarely works.

Wesfarmers — 2022 – 2025
CPTO, OneDigital
Led digital innovation and technology strategy for Wesfarmers OneDigital, the data and digital division of Australia’s largest conglomerate by revenue. Responsible for platforms serving customers of Bunnings, Kmart, Target, Officeworks, and Priceline.
CPTO, Catch
Seconded into Catch during a business turnaround. Responsible for all product and technology across digital, operations, and supply chain. Contributed to a year-on-year $50M profitability improvement and supported new growth programmes including retail media and fulfilment-as-a-service.
CTO, OnePass
Led the technical architecture and delivery for OnePass - the transformation of Club Catch into a new membership program, spanning the Wesfarmers retail brands.
Marketplacer — 2016 – 2022
Chief Technology Officer
Responsible for product and technology strategy for a leading marketplace platform. Built and scaled the SaaS platform supporting major brands including Myer, Woolworths, Fishbrain, Nokia, and BikeExchange. Grew the engineering organisation from startup scale to enterprise-grade, while maintaining the delivery pace that made the business competitive.
News Corp Australia — 2015 – 2016
Head of Software Engineering
Led all engineering and testing across News Corp Australia’s digital platforms - some of Australia’s highest-trafficked websites. Built the practices and team culture that supported reliable delivery at scale during major news events.
Australia Post — 2013 – 2014
Head of Technology, Digital MailBox
Strategic technology lead for Australia Post’s Digital MailBox initiative - a complex platform requiring integration with multiple government and enterprise systems. Restructured the technology delivery function and implemented agile practices in a traditional enterprise environment.
iProperty Group — 2010 – 2013
Chief Information Officer
Led IT strategy and operations for the ASX-listed regional property portal, serving 20,000+ property agents across four Asian countries. Managed complex multi-country technology operations during a period of aggressive regional expansion.
REA Group — 2007 – 2010
Delivery Manager, Customer Experience
Member of the REA Group Senior Leadership team, leading delivery for realestate.com.au and realcommercial.com.au. Led the complete re-platform of the front-end site while maintaining service continuity.
